    “Bonavista - Where It All Began”

    To all former residents of Bonavista who have moved away, we encourage you to plan your vacation around our celebrations.

    DOWN IN THE HOLD ENTERTAINMENT

    An evening on live Newfoundland Music performed in the Cargo Hold of the Matthew. (July 16th, July 23rd, and July 30th.) Admission $10 per person. Show starts at 7pm.

    BONAVISTA DAY EVENTS!

    July 24 at 8:00AM - Community Breakfast (Sponsored by the GFS) Cost: $6.00

    July 25th - Gospel Concert at 7:00pm. Free will offering will be taken.

    Both events will take place on the Wharf next to the "Matthew".

    CELEBRATING BARTLETT

    July 20th

    12:00 noon - Arrival ceremony of the Bowdin. Music by the Cape Shore Boys.

    1:00pm - Music by Rick Pardy.

    2:00pm - Music by Craig and Harvey.

    3:00pm - Public Boarding begins.

    4:00pm - Clown Show and Bouncing Castle.

    4:30pm - Magic Show

    5:00pm - Music by Gord Hiscock

    6:00pm - Public Boarding ends.

    9:00pm - 1:00am - Dance party on the Wharf (Sound System). Tickets sold in advance ONLY. $5.00 each. Must be 19 or older. ID Required.

    * Free admission to wharf area both days, however to tour the Matthew there will be a fee of $7.00 per person (Daytime only).

    Craft, Concession and Game booths will be available for both days during the Bartlett visit.

    July 21st

  • Discovery Days 2009 - June 27th, 2009

    • 1pm - Terry Reilly Teddy Bear Picnic
    • 2pm - Local entertainment ,concessions and games of chance
    • 3pm - Cabot Karoke Star Jr. Contest
      children ages 5-14 will audition to become the first Cabot Karoke Star and four will be chosen to participate in the finals held on Bonavista Day, July 25th. Register your child now.

      an evening of songs and stories performed by a talented group of local artists
